Chelsea's Mason Wagner will make his second straight appearance at the Division 2 state tournament after shooting a 1-over-par 72 at Eldorado Golf Course in Mason.
Also qualifying for the state tournament were Dexter's Brennan Conter, who shot a 4-over-par 74, and Dearborn Divine Child's David Harvey, who shot a 5-over-par 75.
"Mason really hit the ball well off the tee, but didn't have his A-game," Chelsea coach Joe Ewald said. "He didn't let an average score happen. He kept battling and getting up-and-down, making putts to get a good number."
Wagner finished 14th in the state tournament last year.
"He's been a good player over the past couple years," Ewald said. "I hope he has a great showing, and if he plays his best golf, he definitely is a legitimate top 10 finisher, and maybe even better."
Chelsea shot a 331, finishing ninth, and will graduate four of its top five golfers after this season.
"It was a really great team to be around," Ewald said. "They finished the year real strong, and I'm really optimistic of the future."
The Tecumseh, Mason and Marshall teams each qualified for the state tournament.
