Having faith in people is something I always try to hold on to. Always wanting to believe that individuals are primarily good at heart it saddens me when someone fails to meet that standard. I?ve always taken much pride in having a good reputation and credit with people and business but that doesn?t mean even the people like me are immune to calls from collection companies.
I don?t hate collection companies in fact I believe they are a good thing. People who are in the business of lending money have the right to be paid back by those whom they lend out to. It?s not untrue to say that I?ve dealt with collection companies in my day. Not to say that I wanted to avoid paying them back I did have to prioritize my life however. With financial circumstances as they were; I had to decide what to pay for first and what not to pay for. If that makes me a bad person then I?m sure there are many bad people out there just trying to prioritize their lives.
I unfortunately got into an accident with my old Chevy Prism last year was on the lookout for a new car. During the time I was working 40 hours a week, I had medical benefits and a 401k. With my financial worries apparently subsiding I wanted to get a new car that fit my tastes so I decided on an InfinitiG35. I couldn?t buy it out right but I had enough for a down payment and after taking out a loan I was cruising around in my own G35 before I knew it.
I ran out of luck almost right after I signed the loan for the car. My employ was more tenuous than I realized and before long I was laid off. Quickly I was soon trying to service more debts than I was able to afford. The first payments I missed were for my Infiniti as much as I loved it. Within a short span of time after that the collection companies started calling. With the support of my family I was able to square away my debts until I found another job and a car I could truly afford.
